In addition to its concert and touring schedule, the DPO is available to hire for commercial recordings, film soundtracks, jingles and computer games as well as corporate events, like the recent Intercontinental Hotel Group's Annual Awards Ceremony at Bord Gaise Energy Theatre, Dublin, where Derek Gleeson and Peadar Townsend composed all the music for the event with the DPO performing in the Orchestra Pit.

Other such events included providing the orchestra backing for Dionne Warwick's concert at the Samuel L. Jackson's Charity Fundraiser.
